Illenau

This photo was taken in a former mental institution placed in the black forest in Southern Germany which was build in 1842. As you can see the building itself is pretty shabby with the wallpaper and the paint coming off the walls but it once used to be a very beautiful and neat building.
At the time I shot this picture there was kind of a vernisage for lovely modern carpets and because of that decoration like the chair and curtains was placed in the rooms.
The modern carpets and the decoration looked great in the old rotten rooms.
Because of the room looking so beautiful I only hat to push the release ... so it's hardly my work but the work of the people that did the decoration and everything.
